There's been so much happening here I've not had the time to blog for two days.
Let's start with the pumpkins.
Our precious pumpkin was knocked off the vine in high winds. It survived and we cracked it open yesterday to reveal the most brilliant orange I've ever seen.
The skin is silky smooth and gloriously nobbly. It is a heavy beast, too heavy for our scales. At a guess I'd say over 7kg. Possibly even 8.
When cooked it is delicious. Even the skin melts in your mouth. My 3yr old was looking forward to trying it and the look on her face when she realised it tasted yum was priceless.
Amazing what a pile of old poop and a few seeds can grow.
