Easy Spelt Bread (yeast free)4 Cups Organic Spelt Flour (stone milled if possible)
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp - 1 tsp Salt
2 Cups Organic Milk
1 tsp honey (or sugar)
Sift flour and baking soda, add salt and mix well together.
In a small bowl combine the milk and honey, then add to flour mixture.
Mix until smooth and pour into a greased loaf tin.
Here's the trick - pop another loaf tin (same size) on top while cooking to give it a good crust.
Bake for 60-70 mins at 175 celcius.
Remove from tin and cool on a rack.
I added a handful of organic pumpkin and linseeds to my bread today while mixing the flour, and the kids loved it!
